Meetings, called Grassroots Gatherings, will be held in our residential communities throughout the county.

Each community will have a facilitator for their meetings.  The facilitator, who will be a County staff person, will provide guidance to help people work their way through the discussion.  The primary role of the facilitator will be to listen to the discussion, take notes, and help facilitate agreement.  Staff will later pull together the common elements in the discussions among the various groups.  No decisions will be made at these meetings.  The discussions will also be the basis of the options used in the scenario surveys that will come later in the process. 

The facilitator for each community will work with a contact person from that community to identify a location, time, and date for each meeting.  This contact person will help “spread the word” about the meetings for that specific community.
