Specific Stepping Stones

The actions that could be taken to help get us where we want to go in the future are called “Stepping Stones” in this process.  There is no silver bullet.  No tool in the toolbox can serve all purposes, so no one Stepping Stone implemented alone can achieve our desired future.  Therefore, each Stepping Stone should be considered to be just one tool in the toolbox that, combined, can work together to help us go down our chosen path.

At the same time, certain Stepping Stones have a much greater impact and move us much further along the path to achieving the communities vision.  Some of these items are also integral to how the concepts in the plan were developed.  These ideas were explored a little bit further than other Stepping Stones that were identified as possible tools for implementing the plan.  More information on these ideas will be available on the Significant Stepping Stones page of this website when we get to that point in the process.

The "To Do" Lists of potential Stepping Stones for each Pathway are all of the recommended action items that can help us achieve our vision and goals.  Some actions are minor and would require very little effort.  Others would require a greater level of effort and/or funding.  Each one also has a different level of impact when implemented on its own.  This list will be developed as part of the plan document.

These To Do lists will be posted on this page once the plan is drafted and released by the County Planning Commission.  They will be broken out by the topic or element within each Pathway to which they specifically relate.
